Trying to get some opinions here on what the best format for You Tube is. Ive been going crazy lately uploading MOV. files to YT. They are huge and YT just destroys the quality. I just uploaded an MP4 file and noticed zero quality loss, BUT the MP4 file is a lower quality format than the MOV. file. I do believe I'm getting a better quality after the upload, using an MP4 format though. Thoughts?
MP4 is the best answer however, most of your quality loss is not because of the container (MP4 is just a container) the actual compression algorithm is H.264. The real reason for the big loss in quality is because of DJI's awful implementation of the H.264 compression algorithm. They throw away so much data that at the lower bitrates that YouTube uses, it looks choppy and degraded.
