I would suggest go for P4P which may address your questions to some extent. Compare specs of P3A vs P4P

Yep, the man is correct - too many variables/opinions to give any definitive answers....

For battery, the battery clips are easiest. I'd get a multistar 5200 lihv and dual lock under the VPS. This will (with cam) give ya 32-35 mins flight time with good flight properties still.

For antennas, MaxxRange is really decent for the price.
