Not much unless you are planning to freight a couple of pallets full to the other side of the world.
The U.N. aviation agency on Monday prohibited shipments of lithium-ion batteries as cargo on passenger aircraft ....
Lithium-ion batteries can still be transported on cargo planes.

Phantom batterys are Lipo. Not Lithium.

We can thank the other very popular Chinese toy (hover board) for further escalating this issue.

Interesting to note however the danger is in the power denisty Li-ion/polymer batteries provide as neither actually contains any metallic lithium.

Lithium ion batteries are not the same as Lithium

For the purposes of the UN regulations, all of the lithium batteries are grouped together.

Hey, when you're traveling, you need to have extra batteries. You don't want to be grounded when something interesting shows up.
