Okay, so I landed following a short flight and have 40% left on the battery. Do I....

A.) keep the battery in the phantom and use it up on my next flight next weekend
B.). Keep the battery in the phantom and keep it turned on until it drains
C.). Pull the battery upon getting home and with that 40% still on the battery! put it on the charger

Thanks for and wisdom you can share.

Dave

40% is a good level to keep it until next needed - charge before use, it won't take too long when almost half full.
You shouldn't leave the battery fully engaged in the phantom, as it could potentially weaken the springs in the contacts.

Leaving it turned on until it drains is the last thing to do, apart from being no need some f the internals can get pretty hot e.g wifi module - especially with no wind from the props.

So it seems you're new to this stuff Davehecht and want to learn more?

In addition to reading all the literature available for your quad, Google 'LiPo battery care' or similar to continue your quest for knowledge.

There's LOTS to learn!
