Fair enough. I guess I could've figured out those reasons on my own. But after I flew in wind gusts that were far too strong for my second flight, scratches have been the least of my worries.
Bag/Backpack for Phantom

My modified GoProfessionals backpack. I often want to carry around my Nikon D90, so I wanted to make another foam mold specific for these times. With this setup, the bag can carry Phantom 2 (w/ Gimbal), Nikon D90, 3 batteries, charger, Futaba 8FGS, 8 props, Dominator FPV goggles, LIPO charger (for Goggles), two 2s batteries (for Goggles), two antennae. Also included some extra pics of the backpack for those that might be interested in the bag.

Here is my backpack. I adapted from a mountaineering backpack and filled with polyethylene foam.
Where is everyone getting the foam for a case or backpack. I have seen some really good form fitted ones. Is it Pluck and pull from pelican? is there a cheaper version that's just as good? I'm in the USA by the way.

Hello everyone I just got my Phantom 2 Vision and I'm worried how will I take this with me on-board easy-jet airlines. The problem that I have is I also have to take my 17.3 laptop and cannon 600D camera in my carry-bag. As far as I know they allow 50 x 40 x 20cm or 56 x 45 x 25cm including handles and wheels but then they might put it in to the hold. Maybe some Holdball Bag or something? I don't know please give me some ideas. And the maximum I would like to spend is 50£. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

The stitching n the front pocket went first and about three hours later the straps went. Had it less than 12 hours and the thing looked like I had it for years. Save your money for a quality bag.

I dont think that, a friend got one not from banggood and the quality is not bad for the price... There are 4 times expensive bags on the market that arent much better, my personal opinion...

Yes! you can mate its a tight squeeze however you have to put it in the flat section that sits against your back

So I was at Costco today and decided to buy this bag. (I have to fly to Kauai this weekend and needed an overnight bag anyway). Out of curiosity I decided to pack my phantom in there and it fits pretty well. There are plenty of pockets for batteries, chargers etc. and the front pockets are padded well enough that I feel safe putting my fpv monitor in it. It even has enough room if I decide to put the taller/wider landing gear on. (Trying to upload pics but my images are too large.)phantom_medic said:

I have tried all sorts of different regular backpacks which were ok but I knew I would damage something sooner or later. I quit putting in so much time and effort into it. I purchased this back and moved onto more fun stuff. This bag is great! Trying other types of bags just took up too much time and effort.
