I recently bought a used P2V+ that needed a gimbal repair. The wifi and gps seem to be working fine. The camera even works with the gimbal lock in place.
The first time I took it out, I put fresh batteries in the controller, and charged the battery, wifi repeater and my iphone to 100%. Calibrated the compass and took off. I wasn't in the air for more than 3-4 minutes before red lights started flashing and it was descending (I only had it at head level). I pushed the altitude lever all the way up, but it kept descending with the lights flashing. When it was landed, I looked and the battery was at 25%.
I've been going over this thing trying to figure out the gimbal problem, and have had the P2V+ on a lot. The battery depletes at what I would think would be a slow rate. Even if I get the motors running and move around to check the camera, everything is fine. The assistant software shows the battery condition as 97%, with 11 discharges.
I'm assuming that the battery is no good under load. Would this be your assessment, or is there another potential problem? I'll have another battery soon to test.
Thanks for any replies.
