That doesn't make you make smart drone piloting decisions. Do you have a 107? Not that it automatically makes you a great and qualified drone pilot but the cert and study for it opens your eyes enough to make more knowledgeable and safer fight decisions than parking the bird up there and taking your attention off of it, which is the fundamental scenario you're asking about.

There's no such thing as a 107 in Ireland, but I am VERY responsible. I've reported you, as your belligerent behaviour is making my membership here difficult. All I did was ask a question.

Guy's lets not make me have to clean this up. Try and be civil or just don't post .
Stay on topic and don't be argumentative .
Thanks

I'm not really sure how I've been off topic or mean. For what you want to do, just make sure you have a visual observer with you who will keep an eye on the drone at all times so in the event you can't, you're covered. Photography is always a bit of furious juggling match to get the perfect shot, and that's just on the ground. Your priority when you include a drone in the mix must be the drone. Ground and aerial handled only by yourself isn't the safest approach. Having one person with you who will at least keep an eye on the drone at all times will keep the mission safer, that's all. You can also pick up a tripod accessory that will enable you to put your controller on a tripod and get it off your neck, which will help you avoid juggling a controller while taking ground shots. That keeps you and your gear safer and helps you get a better shot.

Just to show this can be done safely, without a spotter, here is a 1:15 min clip (low res) from a 14 minute commercial video I made, over the winter (it took 3 months), for a local Ice Cream company.

There was no one available to stand with me, and I flew the drone safely. The drone and "ground-level" camera clips were taken at the same time (both cameras filming simultaneously.) You can see me at 0:44 - 0:55 flying the drone. No cattle, farmers or photographers were harmed in the making of this film.

My original question was about a possible automatic RTH on the P4A. I'm saddened that this has now been used to question my safety ethics and level of responsibility when flying a drone, by people who have never met me or know of my (IMHO) excellent record of responsibility towards others in my personal and professional life.

I was only asking how the drone might be brought back if I am distracted. I didn't say I was going to fly irresponsibly.
