Anyone tried the new transmitter with the FC40?

Just looking to upgrade my transmitter on my FC40, I've been thinking about changing to a Spektrum 2.4ghz system so I can have telemtry, but I'm just wondering if anyone has tried binding and using the new DJI transmitter with the thumbwheel? As the Vision uses 5.8ghz so wondered if they are compatible or not?

You will need the 5.8ghz version for the FC40 as they do a 2.4 and 5.8 version in the new tx with thumb wheel and lipo, Plus - DJI also do the lipo on its own so you can converter the earlier P1 Tx's to lipo power

Just wondered if anyone had tried it with an FC40 as it says that the 5.8ghz is compatible with the Vision plus but doesn't mention the FC40?

I have the FC40 5.8 with a Walkera gimbal. I upgraded my controller last week to the new DJi . It works great.
