In the flight simulator I can take the drone to 400 feet, cut the motors and while it's dropping restart motors and recover. Anyone tried this in real live?

I saw it done in a YouTube video :)

I once was flying my P4 and the craft was about a mile away, and for whatever reason my iPad went blank and wouldn't boot back up. I was really concerned about losing my craft but luckily it came back and landed next to it's GPS starting point.

Sometimes I will shut the motor off on my Harley and coast into the garage. That’s about as close as I get to that sort of nonsense.
Yeah, it's not like we have to go looking for adventure with these things. There are enough gremlins lurking without manufacturing them :)

Would never try it with my P3S, but have tried it with my Syma X8G and recovered without any problem. $500 with good camera and delicate gimbal vs $100 with cheap, cheap camera and no gimbal to distroy.
