GOT IT!! I updated the firmware for the GL658C only (from 1.5. 70 to 1.7.80) and voila!! Thanks for the help guys. Gonna do a test flight in the morning, it's been a year or so since I flown so this test flight will only be local to my field /pasture. Not going any distance until I recalibrate the imu and double check my settings.

You're gonna like the GL658 with your P4. It will double the range, especially if you use it with a windsurfer. If you have not read this yet, here's the data that convinced me a long time ago the GL300C was detuned, in comparison to P3P for control signal transmission power. I don't know why DJI would do that, but to my knowledge they never fixed it.

Checked the 658. It’s on1.7.80
The old Chinese New Year P4 is on 02.00.0106
Two current versions are .0700 and .0810
.0700 released on 11/22/17 and .0810 much more recent at 5/22/19
The release notes for the .0700 mentions an improvement in flight stability.
Its been a while since this one have been up, so I’ll check to see if I have any stability issues. Probably going to just leave it alone.
