Anyone from Oregon?

I'm very much a noob & recently learned an expensive lesson after crashing my P3S when I let it out of my sight. I'll be able to recoup some of the money I spent on a new P3S today by parting out the crashed one. I'm seriously considering buying a small quadcopter ($75) from Amazon to train on.

That is a great idea. I started on cheerson CX 10 and 20s. Great indoor and outdoor flyer. These will get you used to manual control. Get a Phantom 3 Pro if you really want to be able to help your control just because with your video link you are limited a bit in distance and sometimes you might try trickier things to get a cool view but then not be able to see where the craft is at. I had a friend crash his when he lost sight of it which can happen easily when it's against the sky so make sure to keep her in sight and when in doubt dont panic just be easy on the controls until you get it back under control. Let's get together for a beer if any of you make it to town.
