Any decent free photo editing software ?

Hi all
Does anyone know of a half decent free photo editing software ? I want to remove fishy eye and add date that i can move and adjust the size of.Also just basic picture adjustments would be handy for now as I'm new to all this editing :lol:

GIMP will do that and a whole load more (pretty much whatever PhotoShop can do). See http://www.gimp.org
