3oz 8mp drone = no more FAA worries!!!?

FAA doesn't control anything under 8 oz, right?
Does 5-mile airport rule still kick in?
I need closer to 20mp 1' sensor still shots, so maybe their next model...?
Or does such a drone already exist under 9 oz?

The FAA doesn't require registration of a UAV weighing less than 0.55 lbs, but neither the Model Aircraft Special Rule nor Part 107 make any reference to a lower weight limit (only an upper limit), and so presumably all the same operating rules apply as for larger aircraft whether operated recreationally or not.
