hi was wondering if anyone knows about flying in Wyoming....heading to the Beartooth Pass this summer and would love to fly the drone and get some pictures at the top of the beartooth.... have seen a few videos from there on YouTube just wasn't sure if it was legal or joy couldn't really find any info

I'm about to be a proud Phantom 4 Pro owner in Wyoming and have been looking up rules. As far as I can tell there is nothing special other than the standard no flying near airports, national parks, national Monuments, etc. Don't endanger people/vehicles/buildings/wildlife. Respect height limits of 400 feet and visual line of sight.

So it looks like you should be good flying up on the Beartooth Hwy as long as you stay out of Yellowstone.

Edit:

I've found more information, including elsewhere on these forums (I made a friend at the U.S. Forest Service today.) that indicate no flying in Wilderness areas. There are some nearby the Beartooth Hwy that you will want to avoid. Forest Service Visitor Map
