Hello,

I fly in mode 3 and in order to achieve this I had to make these physical changes to my controller.

The other day after about 80 flights on my phantom I got flashing yellow lights telling me that there was a controller error and when I plugged my Phantom into my computer I found that the T channel had locked to the far right and I could not reset it.
So I've done some research and found that when programming the cyclic and pitch mixing for a helicopter, it is possible for the sum of the two mixing values to exceed the mechanical travel limits of the servos or ESC's. This can cause them to be over driven into a locked position.

So, my question. In your opinion do you think this was caused by doing what the video shows. I really hope not as this is the only mode that I've learned how to fly and if I had to go back to mode one then it would be like starting all over.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Jason

If the link is not working it involves opening the controller and you will see 4 plugs for the controller sticks. You swap plugs 2 and 3 with each other and then close the controller and then reverse all your channels from norm to Rev. Voila, mode 3.

I can't help with your question but here's your video. If you want to learn how to get youtube videos to work just quote my post to see what was done. And don't forget to remove the "s" from the http://.
