Which Drone; Phantom or....?

Thanks everyone for the help; I went ahead and got the P3P at Microcenter for 699. The deal was just too amazing to pass up; that and I got a hardshell backpack for only 29 bucks!

Why no P3Standard on that list....under your price range so you can get spare battery and case..plus it flys great!

no it isn't it is built better plus rc has its own screen on it does have a lot of difference to it if dji was smart they might want to try and copy them
Can the unit be disassembled with ease? Does it have the stupid shell clamps like DJI P3?

who needs Lightbridge when it can due this

X star by far .for one built better two customer service is there for you

I know this is an old thread but "Plus One" on the customer service.
I bought a Pumpkin, called tech support to ask a question. I was able to talk to a live person in less than 5 minutes.
For those of you on the fence between buying a P3P and the X-Star Premium, I recommend the XSP I have them both. The range of the P3P is not necessarily better than the XSP, not to mention that the RC of the XSP has a display that shows battery level for both the AC and RC, signal strength, AC Altitude, distance and orientation, Gimbal tilt. So let's say that you lose your mobile device for whatever reason you can bring the bird back home with the RC. While you can still do the same with the P3P the remote does not have a display which provides vital information about the AC and the RC. I have taken my XSP 2.5 miles out and no issues whatsoever. Not to mention the build quality.

FWIW, I would seriously consider all factors when making this purchase. Everyone on here is only talking tech and not the company. I am in the middle of a month long battle with DJI and that alone is enough to make you never want to buy anything from them. I just got my Autel Pumpkin and will try it this weekend. So far the build quality is way ahead and the updating much easier. I will put it though it's paces to see about distance, handling, video transmission, range etc. BTW, I had the P3A. 'Had' is the operative word until it suffered a massive hardware failure.

In an ideal world, every drone would work perfectly, right out of the box. Unfortunately, in the real world, sometimes drones have problems. When problems happen, it’s important to have someone to turn to for help. Autel Robotics has made a commitment to customer service. They provide 7-day per week customer support via phone, email or live chat.

I am happy with my flying pumpkin, I like the remote and the range.
By saying I am not going say anything negative about the P3P but I get a lot less interference with X-Star Premium than with the Phamton.

Speaking of range the X-Star Premium advertised maximum control range is 1.2 miles. In practice, pilots have managed to extend the range nearly twice that far. Autel achieves this extended range by broadcasting the video link via the 900 MHz frequency band (via the controller) rather than the more commonly used 2.4GHz WiFi band. Not only does using this frequency allow for increased video range, it also reduces the potential for interference from other WiFi signals in the area, resulting in a clear picture at extended ranges.

Okay, so an update from my crash analysis thread. After dealing with DJI for almost a month to the day they have finally made good on the warranty claim for my P3A. It was the way, way, way harder than it should ever have been to get this resolved and honestly I gave up a couple of weeks ago but some really good folks from this forum helped me through the technical aspects of my flight log and reinvigorated my fight. So, now I'm the proud owner of my flying pumpkin and a new P3A.
