So I'm constantly changing my GoPro settings so different things, and wondered what you guys use? Here's mine (GoPro Hero 3 BLK)...
1080p 60fps Wide = For most general flying.
1080p 60fps Narrow = For steady flying in close shots (up trees/walls etc)
720p 120fps Wide = For big altitude shots so I can slo-mo right down to act as stabilisation
I find no matter what the setting is, unless it's in "Narrow" mode then any stabilisation in post-production is pointless as the horizontal FOV warps to **** in FCPX.
I've just got a cheap 2-axis gimbal and hooked it up with servos yesterday... Seems to work alright, but I'm struggling to fine-tune the gain settings to get it to really cancel out the Phantoms movements. I think I may have to still shoot in "Narrow" mode and stabilise in post-prod with a gimbal too.
Any tips or suggestions?
