Water in the motors

Doesn't water inside the drone motors cause damage? I would think that water, especially salt water, would cause the motor electronics to short out. Would "brushless" motors mitigate water damage?

Saltwater is never good around electrics.
But fresh water won't hurt brushless motors - they can run underwater.
If you got salt water in them, flush it out with fresh

Have you been swimming again ,,just kidding,,mayby look at a phantom wetsuit if flying around lots of seawater, good protection
