Vortex Ring State & Phantom 1

There seems to been a fair few people getting problems with Vortex Ring State and there Phantom 2. But the Phantom 2 vision has been out quite a while with fewer apparent incidents. And so far I have not read of any crashes (dropping out the sky) with the Phantom 1 fitted with vision props. Why does it appear that the Phantom 2 with the Zenmuse seems most affected, if it is caused by the larger props?

I think the Vision and the P2 get the same amount. First off, the Dji props are not great, plus the Phantom gets caught in its prop wash. The new firmware limits the descent speed.

It's mainly due to the wider 9443 props IMO. Also, weight of Phantom matters, so heavily loaded 1200g+ birds seem more caught up in vrs and unable to recover. That leaves out a lot of P2Vs but hits gimbaled p2/p1s.

Phantom 1s running 9443 props are just as likely to as any p2 to hit vrs. Gotta limit descent speeds to 2-3m/s, which is still pretty fast.
