Video editing software

Greetings,

I have been flying my new P4 and collecting some nice videos, and now I am thinking about that part of this hobby as well - the video editing part.

I have no experience with this, but am fairly computer savvy and somewhat creative. I'm looking for a bit of advice for someone who will never become a pro, but still wants to dabble in the art. What do folks use that is not killer expensive and still gets the job done? Thanks!!
