Very limited range when flying 2 drones?

Hey guys,
I just met up with @FlyingLion, he has a P4 and I have a P3A. When we flew together, we both experienced horrible range, we were both getting terrible video feeds and we both lost complete connection within moments from takeoff.. @ first, we thought it was location, but when we flew separately everything worked just fine.. I have the litchi app and I tried changing the channel, but it didn't seem to make a difference.
Any ideas?

How close were your controllers?
Did you try moving 10-20 feet apart?

No.. we were pretty much next to each other
