Vacationing in Florida

I will be spending February in Florida and would like to take my Phantom 2. I live in Canada and have dual citizenship - Canadian and American. Do I need to register the Phantom (somewhere) to be legal?

You will need to get 336 registration as a hobbyist with the FAA. The cost is $5 and the registrations lasts 3 years.
