Using one controller f/ 2 P4P's? - Not Simultaneously

DJI sells just the P4P aircraft here. Some authorized DJI dealers are also selling them.

$1350 at a few places. Guess I will pay a few bucks more and get the controller too.

Yep. Buying just the aircraft isn't the best deal. You could then sell your remote controller to recoup some of the cost if you don't need it.
