Using Litchi app over water

I'm fairly new to the Drone world and would like to know if there
are any issues flying waypoints across and around a lake using the
Litchi app.

Nope, I do it all the time. Usual rules apply with regard to RTH settings, fully charged battery and I finish with the last WP near my take off area. It’s actually less stressful than flying above trees, buildings and the like.
