Using a IPad Pro 12.9 on my P4P

The iPad Pro is really fast so I haven’t been getting and glitches and freezing the only thing is it’s heavy and I have to get a neck strap to carry it.. and I had to get an extension to fit it on my RC

What kind of “extension”? I need one for my 10.5 Pro.

I use the 12.9 also. The extension I bought was a plastic piece that slides over the current holder. Once the stock holder is extended by pushing the bottom the IPAD can be slid in the holder and cinched back down to hold it in. Not sure who I bought it from but google should pull up several variations. The large IPAD is great with the drone.

I use the 10.5 as I felt the 12.9 was too big. Great platform just wish apple could get to 1000 nits on display brightness.

Mine is exactly like this one.

All you need is an old coat hanger, a piece of heat shrink tubing and a pair or pliers.

I have an iPad Pro 10.5 on mine and dont need an extension. I don’t use a cover either.

Thanks. As you said, I was able to get mine into the stock bracket. I do have a cover on it so it’s definitely a tight fit. I think I’ll stay with my Mini for now.

If I do decide to use the 10.5, I’ll probably go with a roll-yer-own solution like posted above (I,be discovered those bendable rubber-coated “ties” they sell at Homey Depot work great.)

I have an iPad mini and when I try to download the DJI go app I get an error saying it isn't compatible and wont install, it is up to date, Does the iPad have to be cellular equipped for this app to work or am I having another issue?

What mini and what iOS version? It will be one or both of hardware too slow or iOS version too old.

Not computer savvy but the back of the mini says A1432 and the version is up to date with 9.3.5 I’m sure Apple has slowed this thing down and not allowing me to update so as I purchase a new one

That’s a version 1 IPAD I beleive. No hope of running GO4 (only 512kb ram and 16bit). Also current iOS is v11.x.
