Upgrading TX info needed for P2v+ ver 2

If I upgrade my Phantom 2 vision + TX to the type with cam tilt wheel on the left corner, & rechargeable internal battery.. Can I just remove the Wi Fi extender & mount it on the new TX?
Just bind new TX to bird. ?
