Upgraded Antenna

I'm very interested in extended my Phantom's range. I would like to do it very inexpensive. What is the best way to go?

Have you tried the various fpv boosting apps? It will extend fpv but no effect on control range. If you want to extend both you need to modify your handset / wifi extender with an aftermarket antenna

Go for the DBS phantom - relative economical in price, effective and compact. Best bang for your buck. You will need to mod your controller and wifi extender

Do a search on YouTube. You can see videos of how it's done. The standard antenna are approx 2.2 dbi gain. I changed both my RC and my wifi extender to 8 dbi and now have full video and control for over 1,675 ft in tree line areas.
I did go on eBay and purchase a second RC And wifi extender as to keep my warranty effective with original equipment. Which I ended up needing after the last upgrade. Search you tube for phantom 2 wifi extender antenna upgrade and the same for the remote control. Took about and hour to do both. The antennas can be found from anywhere from $5.00 to 12.00 for the 5.8 ghz and the 2.2 ghz antenna. Extension cables needed aroun 8-10 bucks all for less than $25.00. The most expensive is the RC $45-65 and wifi extender up to $99.

What setup did you use for your Antenna

Flipped the mount holder, so the controller with Extender antenna mod goes into the Case. 6 dbi antenna.
