Upgrade Or Not To Upgrade

First of all I'd like to say I thoroughly enjoy this forum, it's fantastic. Thanks to all the great posts from MSinger, Rodpad, Meta4, just to name a few that have helped me grow as a pilot.

So my question, I am currently running App version 3.0.2 and firmware version 1.6.80. I have had no problems at all with these versions installed. So is there a time where I get so far behind with the upgrades that when I do upgrade it will cause problems? Or does it simply to the version listed and not have to install each upgrade in between?

^^^ I have the same question. No problems running with the firmware configuration on the bird when I received it in late December. I am planning on flying tomorrow at a remote site and am reluctant to do a firmware upgrade that introduces more bugs. I'm aware of the RTH altitude gain in the version I have onboard now and that won't be a problem.
