Unresponsive shutter button. Both on Phantom 4 Pro and Non Pro!

Why is it that both my phantoms often have unresponsive shutter buttons? Sometimes, it spins forever after taking a picture and another picture cannot be taken until after. Other times, it's just grayed out and it won't take no matter what I do. Other times, it's delayed by a very long time. I'll press it and 10 seconds later, it actually takes the picture. It applies to both photo and videos.

Have you updated your app lately? I had this for a while. In fact I had my camera pointing hard one way when I was trying to take pics at times! And then it would just stop it all the sudden and go gray as you said. But mine has been perfect for about a month now it seems. So I'm guessing an app update may have fixed it. Because Im on the same new update with bird from a couple months ago.

It was fine up until recently. And I've been avoiding upgrades because even DJI tech support says that some problems stem from the updates themselves.

I would go ahead and update the bird for sure if you have not. I have been perfect on it except for the camera issue and mine has stopped that too now. My only gripe with the last update which was a couple of months ago btwl, is the stupid yellow Geofencing now built into the bird firmware! Hate it!

What do you mean? What is the yellow geofencing all about?

It is a locked No Fly Zone that has been written into the last update a couple of months ago. It is a one mile from center circle around even smallish airports such as ours in our little town of 12,000. LOL. And slightly larger airports now have a Red Zone around them which you cannot unlock at all. On the Yellow ones you can unlock them through the app. But it's a stupid process that takes 5 min to do. And then as you fly in and out of the boundary you get a block that keeps asking you two questions that's in the way of the path your flying and you have to check them and hit done. Total interruption of flight you were shooting! It's just dumb!! Gonna see about fixing this with modifications I'm sure! Last week was the first time I have had to deal with this. I was trying to fly at our local golf course where I flew a lot last year and early this year. Now It's a Yellow Zone and I have to do this stupid verificaion code deal with the app and my phone.
