Good day all. I'm soon to be leaving my current career path (many reasons why), and like the idea of working some how, way, shape of form in the "UAV Industry". Whether that be photography, mapping, oil rig inspections etc.

What I would like to know, is what is the best way to enter this market. When applying for a job such as "Sky-Futures" (oil inspection), what courses should I have on my CV? Also is the salary competitive? (Working for a company, not freelance).

Any info - especially from someone who works in said industry - would be grateful.

(I'm UK based).

Get your commercial pilot license first. the way things seem to be going it may be a requirement to get employment as a large UAV pilot. In between lessons you can work on your UAV piloting skills.
