I and my friend are going to launch our aircrafts at a beach. So is it ok to launch them at the same location in same time?
Ps- my unit bought from japan. 927mhz frequency
My friend has a global version. 5.8ghz.
You will be just fine. Even if you both were using the 5.8 RC, the Phantom will only listen and talk to the RC it is paired with. Fly safe and keep your distance between the Phantoms and everyone will go home in one piece.
Great news. Curious to know how far out was your friend's Phantom when it lost signal? You were right. We maintained different altitudes. The gap between the two controllers was approximately 6ft. Suddenly my friend's unit lost the signal(5.8ghz). So his drone managed to RTH and landed safely. But my aircraft was completely fine (927mhz). Then we managed to increase the gap between two controllers. After that, they flew quite nicely![]()

That's not far. Sounds like some interference but apparently you two figured that out. Glad everything went OK after that.Approximately 20 meters. Mine was 40 meters away.

You shouldn’t have a problem, don’t stand right next to each other.
If your AC is operating on 927mhz and your outside Japan you might be best watching your friend fly before enquiringly with the communication authorities in your region to learn if you might be causing unwelcome interference to complying equipment or amateur radio operators.
We have 3 P3S in our club and we have all flown same time at same site ... in fact with more than 10 P3 in the club ... S, A and Pro ..... we have not had any interference or problems between any of them.
We do tend to stand a number of feet away from each other though ... more than when we fly with conventional RC ... no real reason was given... we just do !

Could have been any number of things too numerous to mention here. Search this forum with key words "Lost Signal" and you will be reading for a week or so.I'm curious, why did my friend’s ac lose the signal? He said never happened before.
Quoted for emphasis. Don't stand next to each other. I've seen a thread of a guy whose Phantom suddenly tilted down and accelerated straight into the ground for no particular reason other than he was standing next to his friend who was also flying a Phantom...., don’t stand right next to each other.
....
That can happen even with an imaginary friend or no friend- worst scenario would be poor video downlink or maybe RTH if signal loss. The AC will ignore control commands that aren’t specifically addressed to it.Quoted for emphasis. Don't stand next to each other. It was a thread on the other site. I personally have never seen or heard of anything like that crash where the AC actually tilted down and accelerated into the dirt. That can happen even with an imaginary friend or no friend- worst scenario would be poor video downlink or maybe RTH if signal loss.
