So the thing is i am using an ARGtek antenna mod on my phantom 3 standard and while i am in residential areas, where are a lot of houses with wifi (2.4ghz same as video transmission freq on phantom 3 standard) i loose video first, but that's ok. The problem is when i am not in areas with WiFi interference i loose control first, the reason is the argtek antenna for control (5.8 ghz) is not a directional like the video antennas. I'm looking to change that antenna to get better control distances, and my question is: Will any 5.8ghz antenna fit my transmitter? Or should i search for LHCP or RHCP or any other specific frequencies to match my bird? Someone help me with that. After that i may consider boosters, but not for now. Thanks

Yes, you do want a directional 5.8. First thing you might try is a windsurfer since they cost almost nothing.

What you do after that kinda depends on what kind of flying you want to do...

Argtek NOW offer a 5.8 patch antenna. Blue proton webesight has them.
