AlTiTuDe06- which SIM option did you end up going with in the end- the AT&T one seems like you have to pay a minimum of $10 for credit and if unused after a month it expires- and the following month/s you have to pay $10 every month you want it active- is that your experience or did you find a better deal?

H20 wireless uses AT&T towers,$10 bucks is good for 90 days.

seems like Skipholiday got a better deal. than me lol....... att told me that the gophone plan is good for 30 days if u spend $10... but if u spend aleast 25 bucks per refill its good for 90 days........

I saw a couple of other sellers with hundreds of sold units that maintains 99.9x% feedback, they should be okay too.

I guess it is because Italian customs are crazy. They block everything that comes from china and charge a lot of taxes (if and when they decide to let it pass through) ...grrrrrr

Grrrrr.. striped tracker & new battery (1S 3.7V 400 mAh) is now 36 grams.
I think that I can still get rid of another 5 grams.

Apparently that's true. It wasn't made clear when I activated the SIM with AT&T. The balance, though, doesn't it expire if you refill it. But, that doesn't make sense unless you plan to use the service often.

yes- the H2O deal looks better if true, $10 of credit will last 90 days instead of a month before expiring and I think the call rates are better than with AT&T even though they use AT&T's network and you can get a H2O SIM card off of ebay for $1 shipped

Don't forget to go with the carrier with the best coverage.

It's pointless if you get a good deal on the SIM fees but the tracker is out of coverage area when you need it to report its location.

Yeah, that's why I use a roaming sim, maximises the chance you will get through...

GSM network support is mostly from TMobile and AT&T in most areas in the USA.
Most the smaller gsm cell carriers operate off the towers of those 2.
AT&T is the largest with the broadest coverage area and H20 utilizes there towers.
