Time to replace my motors...any tips?

Hey guys, thanks for all you great posts. I pulled the fool's move of drilling my prop guard screws into all four of my motors, and this forum was helpful in figuring out what I did, and then where to find the replacement motors and what kind to get.

I looked through all the previous posts I could find, saw Pull_Up's video on cracking the shell, and went to try and solder the motors off. Turns out, there's a lot of heat involved, and before wrecking anything I read a couple posts of people who melted their ESC's and have decided to get some connectors and splice wires.

Any tips on doing this? Has anyone had any problems with motors they've replaced on their own?

Thanks OI! So I saw in the thread that soldered 3mm bullets would be best? I'll head out to find them today!
