The unit worked properly until it seemed that DJI was not going to support it with new firmware. I couldn't figure how to get the app to communicate with the drone. That is why I quit using it. The remote charged up but the drone batteries are not. I get 3 flashes on the first green indicator light and then no lights and then 3 more over and over. I think it went into hibernation a long time ago. Thanks for the help.Welcome!
Firmware is the last thing you want to do right now.

No quick answer to your question.
But this a quick list I just thought of.
#1 Did this have any problems when you quit using it?
#2 Do the batteries charge up, and the remote?
#3 Does the P3P power up with a charged battery?
I will start with those for now.

I believe I updated the app and could not update the drone with the new firmware. The unit worked properly until it seemed that DJI was not going to support it with new firmware. Two batteries, I'm leaving one on all day now. So far no luck in getting either to charge. I am willing to buy a new battery if you think I might have a shot a get the drone up and functioning again. How many batteries, how long did you leave them charging?
Did they make to a full charge?

Unless there is some kind of issue, leave the firmware where it is. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." ALL of my drones run legacy firmware. DJI doesn't work hard to improve your flying experience. They work hard to MANAGE your flying experience. More restrictions. More data reported back to the mother ship. Start her up and fly her. My only concern would be the batteries. Make sure you do nice, low test flights over grass.Hi all, I own a phantom 3 pro and haven't flow for several years. Stopped due to my lack of knowhow to keep the firmware updated. Want to get in the air again, so what would be the steps to update everything to get going? Thanks
