Having a stock p3p has been fun but for me it needed a few added accessories. So I added the following items.

1. forward led lights
2. gimble guard
3. stobe mounted on bottom of gimble guard
4. side mounted 9v batter with switch to activate strobe
5. extended range antenna
6. extended range boosters
7. 90 degree cables
8. metal motor mounts
9. modified transmitter holder with two point harness
10. sun screen
11. ipad air wifi, gps (128 ram) used only from drone, no apps.
12. Hdmi module
13. extended landing legs
14. foam coil mounted on landing skids
15. tri pod mounted external 7 inch hdmi screen
16. lens kit

Just for fun.

A lot of extra weight to be flying around. I have a 12" monitor on a tripod connected to the hdmi, works great.
No not at all. The weight is so minimal it's not worth mentioning. Now the transmitter is pretty heavy but the craft doesn't even know anything is on it's back.

As a side note. I can fly as high and as far as I did when it was stock. It handles the same and basiclly were talking about the weight of a 9v battery. Not noticable.

Are you driving the forward LEDs off the quad's battery?
