Show us your bag/case

@quadrotor, the ability to fly over your crops and spot potential problems early is unbelievably handy. Sometimes, like an instance I have right now, a spray company lost a rear fender off a spracoupe in one of my corn fields. Large piece of equipment that'll do lots of damage to the combine. (Unfortunately the cornfield in question lays next to a military installation, and I'm having trouble flying over it due to DJI's geofence, but we're about to get that worked out) the benefits of a camera drone FAR outweigh the cost. Work real hard at talking him into it without being a pain in the butt, have patience, be respectful, and you'll both end up happy!

@quadrotor, I do NOW! ?

Talk him into one, I promise once he sees the benefits, he'll be happy. Dairy or beef cattle? Doesn't matter. Either way, finding one lost heifer in bad weather, which your part of the world is known for, will pay for a nice P3S
Dairy what are your's?

Oh I see. They must be one of those mega dairy's with automated milking robots and everything.

Why isn’t your chopper INSIDE the case? I know there are a hundred ways of doing the same thing, but this one I don’t get.

I like this case because I can leave the props on. It also worked with my P3S!

One of my better ideas....

My girlfriend gave me this heavy, awkward, rubber landing pad for Christmas a couple years ago. Because of its weight, the landing pad is awesome in the field. It's sturdy as heck and never blows away. Just throw it on the ground and it's ready to go - solid as a rock with no need too weigh it down with rocks or other items. Unfortunately, the thing was awkward as heck to carry around. So I went to the Lowe's in search of tube to carry this beotch in.

Wouldn't you know that this tube is a stock "sewer drainage tube" of some kind. Other than the holes in the top for the rope, I didn't have to to any cutting at all.

Not only is this a super convenient way to carry this landing pad, but the "case" is bullet proof. It always goes to the bottom of any pile without worry. And because the tube stands on its own (above photo), it's super easy to roll up the landing pad and stuff it down in there. Takes 5 seconds to pack up....

Here is my collection. The square bag with all the zips is an Ultimaxx which was sent by mistake. Easy to mix it up with a Manfrotto D1!!
The YX is the first bag I bought. Cheap and cheerful but it holds all the kit.
Best of the lot are the Manfrotto D1's. They are a bit more expensive but are well made and I think you get what you pay for.

I usually have my drone, batteries, DSLR, 4 lenses, a 15 inch MacBook Pro, (one of the 2012 ones that weighs over 5 pounds,) battery banks, cables, filters, accessories, first aid kit, etc...

And it weighs 30 pounds when fully loaded.

And the drone only takes up half the bag. The controller and the DSLR and other lens are in the top compartment!

And I take it with me everywhere. On every hike and bike ride. I always want my cameras with me.
