I bought a cheap case and found the P3 would not quite fit so I added extra underneath !
I also got rid of the to pluck foam (just too annoying) and put in ordinary 2" white foam lower down .Cut it all with a kitchen knife .Worked fine.

Backpack style case...not sure how I like it just yet. Sort of thinking I may rather the briefcase style.

I love this thread. I am new to phantom 3 and want to get a hard shell case. I love the pelican type cases but like the price of the aluminum ones. Haha. This forum is so great.

Who needs a case?
Just a cheap £16 backpack for my Phantom, carries spare battery and spare props, tx carried at the front.
Benifit is I can hop on my push bike and take her for a flight, try that with a Peli case lol
And yes it is balanced when cycling even with the prop guard wind resistors

Interesting cases! I don't have my P3P yet but am looking to adapt one of my alum cases to take the P3P with rotors attached as I need to get it going as quickly as possible when out on location. Can anyone give me the approx overall dimensions of the whole basic kit so I can see if any of my cases will be suitable?

Here's mine. Not exactly exciting. I could do with a new case really as one of the straps is gradually detaching from the back.
