Re: Shapeways Undertray with Fatshark TX compartment - IS HE
So with a decent amount of interest I thought I'd get a few vids of updates....
I have now created the TX holder on its own....
http://youtu.be/plb72262ajc
It can be either have stick pads or adhesive velcro used to hold it to the Phantom (or any RC model). As you can see you can also loop a velcro strap to it.
The Mk2 version of the FPV Undertray....

Looks very similar but I have addressed the flex by creating a solid lip around the outside edge and have added bracing for the TX holder. I have also shaved a few cm3 material in other areas so it is actually cheaper to produce than my first version.
A battery cage - fits the stock 3s Phantom batt (or any of the same size)....

Held in with a simple bar system. Slide the batt in, slot the bar across and put a split pin, hair clip, bolt, hell a paper clip will work.
As you can see at the end it joins onto the FPV tray but can be used 100% seperate. Hopefully a simple but affective way of going twn batt.
I am now working on the tray without the TX holder for those who don't need it, a Hero 3 frame (to retail for like $15 max) and a couple of other ideas.
All going well I will get versions of these made within 10 days and assuming I'm comfortable with them I will open the shop so people can buy them. Will be nice to share the fun I've had making them.
