what does one have to do to set up a previously owned drone. Log in set up etc.

If you got RC and AC , you don’t have to do anything. If you are using your own tablet, you got to install dji go app and login using your dji account

phantom 2 vision plus v3 maybe not sure yet I have one already and I like their performance and features and thought I would add to my business. I also have a phantom 3 standard, but I like the 2 over the three based on performance and quality of videos etc.

my concern was reinstalling app and a machine other than mine for log in purposes

It shouldn’t be a problem as long as you remember your password. I always fly mine in the naza m mode so I can use the IOC and some of the other functions. There are to many restrictions on the newer ones. I’m going to stay with the vision+. Good luck!
