I screwed up my P2V but hope to get it back working before I need it on Saturday and again next Wednesday but it brings up the question of a backup. For those of you that do have or have thought about a second machine, what Phantom or other machine would or do you use for photography? maybe it is something nicer and the Phantom is your backup? Just curious.

For me, my Phantom IS my backup to my 550. I use the larger frame for most shoots, including almost all video, and I usually pull the Phantom out when I just need to grab some quick simple pics, or when I just want to do some sport flying for fun.
Phantom 2 is the backup to my main rig which is an S800 EVO.
I use the Phantom 2 when flying the S800 is impractical due to the amount of attention it gets.
The P2 is always in the trunk of the car, just in case I want to photograph something from the air. The S800 requires effort to take out and so needs to be planned.
