I never knew scorpions are fluorescent. I only thought animals in the ocean were. It was really cool to see. We need to get black lights on our drones don't you think?

Bioluminescence is the production and emission of light by a living organism. (think Firefly aka lightning bug)

Fluorescence is the emission of light by a substance that has absorbed light or other electromagnetic radiation. (think Black light posters from years gone by)

I used to do black lights in my yard in Fl. So, yes I knew. Many other things glow also. Ear wax has a slight yellow glow. I lost a $2,000 US. hearing aid while mowing grass. I did over an acre with a black light and never found it. The company had mercy on me and only charged me $375 US.

Clearly you lost it on a “clean ear day”. ;)

Good one, but I used the other hearing aid to see if hearing aids glow in the dark. I was desperate! I even used round up and killed a large area of grass where I thought I lost it. lol
Good idea though! And, btw, your hearing aid isn’t outside. It’s in that little groove between the bed frame and the box spring. :)
