I crashed pretty good on my second flight and scratched up two of my props. I was wondering is sanding the scratches out would hurt the balance or possibly help it? Thanks for any input you might have.

Buy some new ones, don't mess with yours and others safety by using damaged props. As for sanding them it would alter their balance etc.

Obviously it will affect the balance. I would buff out the scratches and then check the balance and then go from there. If you don't have a prop balancer, definitely invest in one. Due a google search for a Dubro Prop balancer and then do a search on YouTube for how to balance an you'll be on your way.
Scratches or not, I definitely recommend you check all your props and balance them. Good Luck!

Thanks everyone for your input. Very useful. Yea, they're just scratched and it's bugging me more cosmetically than anything. That's why I wondered if I should mess with buffing out the scratches to make me feel warm and fuzzy about my new toy or just deal with it. Thanks again
