RTH touch screen vs. S2

Whenever I lose signal and use the touch screen RTH I get " Return to Home timed out" or " Return to Home Failed" But toggling the S2 switch works flawlessly every time. Has anyone else ever seen the " Timed out" message ? And why ?

Whenever I lose signal and use the touch screen RTH I get " Return to Home timed out" or " Return to Home Failed" But toggling the S2 switch works flawlessly every time. Has anyone else ever seen the " Timed out" message ? And why ?

If you have lost all signal, neither will help.
If you have only lost the downlink but still have control signal, either would work.
Once your Phantom loses the control signal it activates RTH after 3 seconds.
