I've been searching for articles that explain the rules for drones in Romania, but was not able to find one clearly explaining the process. Does anyone know if I'm allowed to fly a Phantom 4 drone in Romania?

Its' a tough one unless you fly a drone weighting less than 500 g, then you will avoid the registration part.
However, if you want to take any photos or videos, then you will need an authorisation (separate from the registration process) via the Ministry of Defense - http://www.caa.ro/media/docs/A.3.6_c_HG_912-2010_Anexa_2.pdf

I'm speaking tonight with an awesome local droner with epic videos to check it all as he is used to local stuff.
