I am almost certain my GL3008 controller needs a new module, I see them on ebay but they have 2 more ports an extra USB and an HDMI, will this work on my controller which just has 2 ports?

Why do you believe you need a new module. The ones you see on eBay are Hdmi modules. They allow for HDMI output for headsets

If it has more ports than the one you have, the circuit board you have may in your controller may not support the new one.
I have lost all data from the drone and camera, I can operate the motors and steer the gimbal and all the lights on the drone are green, and the leds blink slow green indicating ready to fly. But I have no communication with the drone, I tried another phone to eliminate my ipad and its the same,, and after reloading the app I can’t get past the white screen where you choose your drone and then hit equipment, nothing happens.. When I press and hold the menu icon upper right it comes up with device disconnected, no version found. The controller and drone are still on their original version and have always worked just fine. I have looked inside the controller and drone to check for bad connections, it seems that nothing is going in or out which leads me to think the module could be the weak link. Have tried relink, removing sd card, new lightbridge cables etc, it worked perfectly until the app did an auto update, I have read it can cause a voltage spike which blows the module. Am open to suggestions before I bite the bullet and send it in for repair.
Yes that was the first thing I did when it went awol, I tried 3 different cables and two different tablets. I have now found a DJI specialist about 2 hrs away who do free diagnostic checks, so I am taking it in next week so they can confirm where the fault is.
