I haven't been using my cell phone. I use a CrystalSky device. That looks ok. What is your Go4 App version? (ios or android)
I have tried to cancel the recreational drone, but I think that it is somehow still affecting my ability to register the drone now under Pt 107.Ok. The release notes do not list any issues with Crystal Sky, so I'm unaware of any compatibility problems.
Since your FAA registration number is tied to your recreational drone, it may be cancelled, but it is still active.
You may need to re-register your drone as Part 107 and get a new FAA number for this to work. *** This is just a guess. ***
Looks like you have it covered as far as I can tell. Some sort of computer glitch with registering / re- registering ???@CR125Honda, since you are Part 107, do you see anything I'm missing?
You are welcome. I'm sure there is something simple going on that is preventing the update. Good luck. Check back in if you will and let us know the solution..............I have tried to cancel the recreational drone, but I think that it is somehow still affecting my ability to register the drone now under Pt 107.
I am going to try FAA support - maybe they can go in and "zero" out my recreational account or do what needs to be done.
Thank you again for all of your help. I really appreciate you taking the time to work with me.
Well..........Finally got it to work. You are welcome. I'm sure there is something simple going on that is preventing the update. Good luck. Check back in if you will and let us know the solution..............
Glad you got it sorted out. It would be nice if they mentioned needing a 15 digit number sequence to make things work.Well..........Finally got it to work.
I contacted the FAA UAS Support group.....called first, but got a message to email them. So I emailed them and I was surprised at how promptly I received a response. Some of the information reiterated about the 1581F prefix followed by a 15-digit number. The ID that I was trying to get to work only had 14 digits, and I was at a total loss as to what I could possibly do to find a 15-digit number. But the support person provided me with a list of serial numbers that have been approved by the FAA for the Phantom 4's and the sequence of the numbers started with the characters 1, 1, V, K - which my 14-digit number started with. After wondering how in the world was I going to get 15 digits, I found the solution and finally found the number that was accepted.
Thank you again for your help!!! Hope you have a great rest of the day and a fulfilling remainder of 2025!
I supported the FAA as a government contractor for a long time.Glad you got it sorted out. It would be nice if they mentioned needing a 15 digit number sequence to make things work.
But, that's the way of the FAA. Have been dealing with them for over 40 years now, and NOTHING they do surprises me anymore.
Just like the FAA motto......."Here at the FAA, we're not happy,....until you're not happy."
