Story: Bought used P34k locally. Had some issue getting quad to connect to dji go app initially at purchase but eventually it worked (this is my first phantom so I assumed user error) so I bought it. Brought it home and the following happens:
Turn on RC - Red Light
Turn on P3 - Startup lights then sometimes red lights at rear sometimes orange sometimes green.
RC Light Stays Red
Linking light on P3 goes green
RC will control P3
Startup DJI Go and connect to RC Wifi - Remote Control Signal Weak and never connects to P3
(In dozens of trys it actually did connect one more time. Acted like everything was normal. Power cycled and same problem persists)

What I have tried:
Relinking - can use app or button combo on remote. Light on RC blinks blue and it beeps. Press linking button on P3 and it blinks red. This continues until remote times out.
Reset Remote - Took Apart and disconnected Batt for 10 mins
Different Devices: 2 Android phones 1 Android tablet and 1 iPad. (With and without cell disabled)
Reinstalled dji go app (a lot)
A bunch of other things I saw both related and unrelated to the issue but can't remember now.

I'd like to do a firmware update but it seems that the 4k can only be updated through the app.

I have seen a bunch of other posts with the same issue but no actual resolution short of "send it in". Some talk of firmware issues....

Help?

You are setting your network on your phone to PhantomXXXX? (I'm a newbie, so I missed that step a couple of times.) I did watch a slew of videos this morning. Maybe one of these below might help
I don't know this fella, but he did a great job explaining, I thought anyhow.

Thanks for the reply! Yes I'm connecting to the correct wifi network. I'll take a look at those links though I think I have the basics understood.

There's a bunch of videos out there, but this guy doesn't try to make a 5 minute tutorial into a 15 minute drama... :flushed:

Did you get a manual? That's quite helpful, but it glazes over some details that I needed. This forum is FULL of knowledgeable people that have usually seen your problem before. So, present company excluded, you're in good hands!
