Registering your drone

So I'm picking up my P4 next Friday and then I'm off to America so obviously I'm taking it with me lol I've seen that you need to register you drone with the FAA in the states but you need a American address to do so?? Just wanted to know if anyone's had an issues with this traveling from the UK to America. I've just bought the Think Tank Airport Helipak to transport it so that will be my carry on so it will be going trough security. Anyone had any issues with this??
