Polarizing Filter

If you want sharp images glass filters are better. Plastic by its very nature will soften the image. Balancing a gimbal is not difficult really.

I was more concerned with wearing out the gimbal with the extra weight. I'll check out the quality difference as I have both glass & now the plastic.

Just to follow up. I fabricated a filter and it made little difference in the video, sans a little greenish color. I actually think the GoPro has pretty good coating from the factory. Net-net: I have a sheet of polarizing filter material. :-)

You correct, but the extra weight is just more wear and tear on those little motors

Not if it is balanced carefully :) My motors are under no strain at all.

Which one are you using on the GoPro?

A variable ND filter, its heavier than single factor ones but more versatile.

A while ago from eBay UK sorry I can't remember. I'll try and find it when back in the office
